Webflow runs 0.8% of all websites and 1.2% of the websites whose content management system can be identified, according to W3Techs on 20 October 2026. Among the 10,000 most visited sites its share nearly doubles to 2.3%, which is more than Wix and Framer combined at that level. Small overall, overrepresented at the top: that pattern explains most of the other numbers on this page.
This page covers share, site count, speed, pricing, customers, funding and revenue, from W3Techs, the HTTP Archive, Webflow's own pages and press coverage, with every estimate labelled. We build marketing sites in Webflow, so the bias is stated; the numbers are the publishers'.
Webflow's market share is small overall and larger at the top
W3Techs surveys websites, identifies the CMS behind each one and reports share by popularity bracket. The ranking breakdown is the most useful Webflow statistic for a B2B buyer, because it separates the long tail of personal and small business sites from the sites that companies invest in.
| Platform | All sites with a known CMS | Top 1,000,000 | Top 100,000 | Top 10,000 | Top 1,000 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Webflow | 1.2% | 1.5% | 1.9% | 2.3% | 2.2% |
| WordPress | 58.3% | 48.3% | 50.6% | 50.5% | 52.0% |
| Wix | 6.2% | 0.5% | 0.3% | 0.3% | 0% |
| Framer | 0.3% | 0.3% | 0.4% | 0.5% | 0% |

Wix holds five times Webflow's share overall and about an eighth of it in the top 10,000. Framer's share barely changes with rank. Webflow's share rises with every step up in traffic until the top 1,000, where it levels off at 2.2%. Popular sites W3Techs detects on Webflow include Discord, Flickr and Anthropic.
WordPress still dominates every bracket. It runs 39.6% of all websites and 58.3% of sites with a known CMS, so Webflow is a specialist choice, not a mainstream one. Our Webflow vs WordPress for a B2B Marketing Site in 2026 comparison covers that decision; this page is about Webflow's own numbers.
Growth: six times the 2019 share, then a plateau

| 2021 | 0.4% | 2.4% | 5.2% | 64.1% |

Webflow's fastest stretch was 2020 to 2022, when its share rose from 0.2% to 0.7%. Since 2023 it has added about 0.1 points a year, and it has not moved in the first ten months of 2026, while Wix added 1.2 points in 2025 alone. Share counts sites, not revenue: a platform selling upmarket can grow its business while its site count stalls.
Site count: about 60,000 measurable origins, and a smaller crawl
Webflow does not publish how many live sites it hosts. The best public proxy is the HTTP Archive, which detects the technology behind every origin in the Chrome UX Report, the set of sites with enough real Chrome traffic to be measured. That is a floor, not a census: a site with little traffic does not appear.
| Platform | September 2024 | September 2025 | September 2026 | Change, last 12 months |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Webflow | 59,398 | 64,890 | 60,687 | Down 6.5% |
| WordPress | 3,333,016 | 3,163,026 | 2,714,694 | Down 14.2% |
| Wix | 222,080 | 204,135 | 181,912 | Down 10.9% |
| Squarespace | 104,649 | 101,277 | 92,778 | Down 8.4% |
| Framer | 3,924 | 8,848 | 11,646 | Up 31.6% |

Every established platform lost origins over the last year, so most of Webflow's 6.5% fall reflects a smaller measured set, not Webflow sites closing. It fell less than WordPress, Wix or Squarespace. Framer is the exception and is growing from a low base: it has a fifth of Webflow's measured origins. Over the longer run, Webflow's count is 11.7 times the 5,192 origins detected in January 2020.
Customers, funding and revenue: what is public and what is estimated
Webflow is private, so the company numbers come from its own pages, funding announcements and analysts who estimate.
| Date | Figure | Source and status |
|---|---|---|
| 2020 | 100,000 paying customers, over 2 million users, cash-flow positive | Crunchbase News, January 2021, company figures |
| January 2021 | $140 million Series B at a $2.1 billion valuation; $215 million raised in total | Crunchbase News |
| March 2022 | $120 million Series C at a $4 billion valuation, led by Y Combinator's Continuity fund | SiliconANGLE |
| March 2022 | About $100 million annualised recurring revenue; 450,000 new websites in the prior year | SiliconANGLE, company figures |
| April 2024 | First acquisition, Intellimize, at an undisclosed "eight-figure" price | TechCrunch |
| October 2024 | Acquires GreenSock, the business behind GSAP; "more than 300,000" companies on Webflow | Webflow blog |
| October 2026 | 300,000 organisations, $335 million raised, founded 2013, staff in 18 countries | Webflow About page |
| 2023 and 2024 | Revenue $128 million (December 2023) and $212.5 million (October 2024) | Latka, estimates |
| 2022 to 2024 | Revenue $135 million (2022), $200 million ARR (2023), $280 million (2024), 40% growth | Sacra, estimates |

Three things stand out. Customers tripled between 2020 and 2024, from 100,000 paying customers to more than 300,000 companies, though the two definitions are not identical. The 300,000 figure Webflow used in October 2024 is the same one on its About page two years later. And the $4 billion valuation from March 2022 is still the last one reported; TechCrunch repeated it in 2024.
Pricing in October 2026

Add-ons sit on top: Localize from $9 a month, Analyze from $9 a month and Optimize from $299 a month, all billed yearly. Annual billing saves up to 40%, which is the gap between Basic's $15 and $25. Seats are extra: a full seat is $39 a month billed yearly, a limited seat $15.
For a typical B2B marketing site the working number is Premium plus a Workspace, a few hundred dollars a year. The jump to Team at $2,500 a month is the largest step in the range. What agencies charge to build is covered in How Webflow Agencies Price Builds in 2026.
Performance: Webflow sites pass Core Web Vitals more often every year
Core Web Vitals are Google's field measurements of loading, responsiveness and layout stability. An origin passes when 75% of real Chrome visits are good on all three.
| Year | Mobile | Desktop |
|---|---|---|
| 2020 | 31.2% | 45.3% |
| 2021 | 43.1% | 57.6% |
| 2022 | 48.9% | 62.5% |
| 2023 | 53.7% | 67.8% |
| 2024 | 61.8% | 75.9% |
| 2025 | 64.0% | 78.4% |
| 2026 | 71.3% | 82.6% |

The mobile pass rate has more than doubled in six years. In September 2026 Webflow's 71.3% sat level with Squarespace (71.0%) and Framer (70.8%), behind Wix (80.9%) and Shopify (76.2%), and far ahead of WordPress (48.3%). Our Webflow vs Framer in 2026 comparison sets the Framer and Webflow figures side by side; the new information here is the trend.
Audience matters as much as platform. Measured by visitor country, 80.2% of Webflow origins pass on mobile for visitors in the United States and 81.4% in Germany, but 39.1% in India and 45.4% in Brazil. The platform is the same; the visitors' devices and connections differ. A site with a global audience should check its own Chrome UX Report data, not the platform average.
What this means for choosing and building on Webflow
The numbers describe a platform that is small, stable and concentrated among sites with real traffic. Do not expect a talent pool the size of WordPress's. Choose Webflow, or rule it out, on fit: a marketing team that wants to publish without a developer, a site well inside 20,000 CMS items, and a budget that tolerates Premium plus a Workspace. Check the Team plan threshold before you commit if you need publishing workflows or localisation at scale, because it is a step from hundreds of dollars a year to $30,000.
In our own work the CMS cap has never been close. As a white-label partner to Web Tonic we built more than 20 Webflow sites in twelve months, at two to three weeks per site, and the largest CMS held over 1,200 items, a small fraction of the Premium cap. We build applications in Next.js when a project outgrows a marketing site, and we quote each build per project. Our Webflow development service page explains how we scope it.
